Rhythm and Beats was an exhilarating and free workshop, building on the success of our previous summer camp sessions. Led by the talented Luis Sanchez, the event brought a captivating blend of drums and percussion, turning it into an unforgettable musical journey. Sanchez, known for his vibrant performances, transformed the space into a rhythmic playground, where participants of all ages learned how to craft catchy beats using a variety of drums and percussion instruments. What truly set the workshop apart was the inclusion of traditional Colombian folk songs and dances. As Sanchez played and guided the group, the room came alive with energy. Children and parents alike couldn’t resist joining in, stomping their feet, clapping their hands, and dancing to the infectious beats. It wasn’t just the kids who were having fun; parents were equally swept up in the joy, creating a family-friendly atmosphere where music brought everyone together. Participants didn’t just learn about different percussion instruments, they immersed themselves in the cultural rhythms, mastering the basics while having an amazing time. The workshop blended education and entertainment perfectly, leaving everyone with newfound skills and cherished memories.
